CFG Business Moves reviews and testimonials. Hear what our national and domestic customers from London and the UK have to say about their moving experience.

Background
CFG assisted Croydon Council to embark on a large scale Transformation Programme called ‘Enabling our Workforce’, which set out to provide all its staff with the capability of working in ‘Agile’ and flexible methods. All internal staff were allocated a Windows 10 enabled device, via planned weekly deployments, with their devices including applications such as Skype for Business and the full suite of Office 365 products, enabling the new agile working approach. The project timeline lasted from June to December 2016 with the scope of 3,500 internal staff.
Outcome
3,500 internal staff successfully received a new W10 device and this included all staff within 35 remote borough sites. Croydon Council were the first local authority to introduce Windows 10 across its entire workforce and were awarded the 2017 Digital Council of the Year award.
“I worked with Chris and CFG Business Moves on the Windows 10 project/Enabling our Workforce programme. Chris came into a high pressured project environment with a demanding timescale. What I liked was the calm, methodical approach that gave huge confidence to the team and stakeholders. He was a huge influence in helping us to maintain and achieve target. He has a real can do attitude and is an inspiration to those around him. Above that he was a good personality to have in the office and someone I would be more than happy to work with again.”
Paul Kennedy (IT Project Delivery Manager at Croydon Council)

Background
CFG were installed as move consultant for British Wheelchair Basketball (BWB), a Paralympic sport who were physically relocating all their professional athletes and office staff from Worcester to Sheffield in August 2017. BWB’s relocation was planned to integrate themselves within a wider sporting ‘hub’ alongside other sports such as GB Boxing, Disability Table Tennis and Athletics.
CFG’s remit was also to assist/manage contractors in the design and build of a new basketball court and office space at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield (EIS). In addition, CFG managed the physical relocation of existing office and athlete training equipment using a locally source removal company (Lambs Removals).
Outcome
All staff and athlete equipment were successfully relocated in August 2017 and once in occupation, CFG worked with SIV Leisure, BWB and EIS, to ensure all post-move snagging was completed as staff and athletes became operational in their training and office environments. The level of planning in the project ensured all 32 lottery funded athletes received bespoke wheelchair lockers.
“Chris has supported a number of projects for UK Sport under the Elite Training Centres Programme whereby support is offered to UK Sport funded World Class Sports to ensure that their daily training environment is as good as it can be to support the athletes’ development in the best way possible.
Chris supported UK Sport and GB Wheelchair Basketball in their relocation to their new home at English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.
His support began at the very early stages of the relocation with organisational support to ensure the move was as best planned as possible with the least disruption to athletes and staff. He supported the staff in person during the move and was not afraid to ‘roll his sleeves up’ if required.
Alongside the planning and support of the move itself Chris also project managed a number of significant capital projects to ensure that their new home was fit for purpose and, more importantly, training from day 1. This included the refurbishment of a previous store room into a coach’s office; provision of IT, telecoms and AV throughout the space and appointment, liaison and sign off with a number of key suppliers.
Without Chris’ support the move would not have been completed as smoothly and with minimal impact on the athletes and their preparation for their upcoming World Championships.
A significant indicator of Chris’ quiet, professional and unobtrusive support was the fact that the Men’s team went on to win the World Championships and the Women’s team were silver medallists in what otherwise could have been a period of turmoil and upset.
I have no hesitation in recommending Chris and will when the circumstances arise in using his services again.”

Background
CFG were installed within the CBRE MAC team to help create, deliver and execute an internal restack for 1,500 users at Microsoft’s main UK campus in Thames Valley Park, Reading. Microsoft were downsizing from five buildings into three, focusing heavily on agile working environments for all of its staff. The project lasted 26 months and involved 100 team moves over a sustained period of time, working in sequence behind numerous fit-out contractors.
Outcome
All team moves were successfully completed in a COVID protocol environment, with move dates/schedules agreed with teams and their move champions remotely. A combination of new and reused office furniture was installed for team workstation areas, with detailed move matrix information recorded to confirm new team seating areas/asset records. This enabled a smooth handover to the Microsoft Facilities Team.
Chris,
Once again I would like to thank you for going above and beyond any formal duties and expectations to locate and reunite me with the content of my cabinet I was told was irretrievably lost in the clean-up of TVP B2 F2 a few months ago!
I was very impressed by your thoughtful and diligent approach, going out of your way to be helpful. Bringing back to me these various documents, notes, awards, etc. going back across my 26 years at Microsoft was the sweetest and most meaningful gesture of attention and appreciation I have experienced in a long time!
Thank you!
